Singapore : Sentosa

Sentosa is tagged as Asia's favorite playground. It is an island just off the Southern Coast of Singapore.

Sentosa is formerly known as Pulau Belakang Mati (the island after death).  It has been renamed as Sentosa (tranquil) and turned out to be one big tourist attaction with an area close to 5 square kilometers.  It also has 3.2 kilometers stretch of white sand beach. The 5 million visitors per year  has proved that it is indeed Asia's favorite playground.

If going to Sentosa via MRT, go down to HarbourFront Station and make your way going to  the third level of Vivo City.  From here get tickets via Sentosa Express for SG$3.50.  The three MRT stations are the Waterfront Station, Imbiah Station and the Beach Station.  The Waterfront Station is where the Universal Studios Singapore and Resorts World Sentosa is. The first train leaves at 7am and the last trip is at 12 midnight.

You can also travel to Sentosa by foot by entering at the Sentosa Boardwalk, entrance fee SG$1.  It's going to be a fun walk from Vivo City Shopping malls waterfront premonade.  There are travellators along the boardwalk.

After entering Sentosa, all the transportation around are free except for taxis. You can ride their trams, buses and trains till you're inside the island.  But once you get out you have to pay another SG$3.50 for Sentosa Express trains or SG$1 if entering via boardwalk.

Sentosa is divided into four (4) attractions : Imbiah Lookout, Siloso Point, Beaches, and Resorts World Sentosa.
