Hundred Islands, Alaminos, Pangasinan

Long weekend kaya ang barkada nagplano ng masayang bakasyon... We went to Sual, Pangasinan (bus fare around Php350 - Manila to Sual) and spent the night at Ate Sigrid's house.  Bantog Backpackers are with Divine, Tina, Fred, Irene, Nice, Pau,  Rowie,Jeric, Olive, and Glenn.

with our babies =)

We rented the jeepney from Sual to Lucap, Alaminos, Pangasinan at Php400.

How to get to Lucap or Alaminos Wharf?
Alaminos Wharf is about 240 kilometers north of Manila or almost 4 hours drive by private vehicle.  By public transportation, take Alaminos bound buses for about 5 to 6 hours travel time (depending on traffic condition).  We hired the boat for Php2,000 good until the next day.  Rental for vest and snorkel Php200.

The Hundred Islands National Park (Pangasinan : Kapulo-puloan or Taytay-Bakes) is a national park in the Philippines.  The protected area is located in the city of Alaminos, in the province of Pangasinan in northern Philippines.  The islands, totaling 124 at low tide and 123 at high tide, are scattered in Lingayen Gulf covering an area of 16.76 square kilometers (6.47 square miles).  Only three of them have been developed for tourism : Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children's Island.

ang makukulit na boyz

going up to a better view of the islands

The islands are believed to be about two million years old.  They are actually ancient corals that extend well inland, in an area previously comprising the seabed of an ancient sea.  The lowering of the sea level have exposed them to the surface.  The peculiar "mushroom-like" shapes of some of the islands were caused by the eroding action of the ocean wave.

nasan ba kasi ang camera??? miss you all!!! ulitin natin to...
