Marinduque : Poctoy White Beach
Poctoy White Beach is located at Torrijos, Marinduque and is owned by the municipal government. We arrived here by riding a jeepney from Boac to Sta. Cruz for Php47 fare and from Sta Cruz to Torrijos for Php40. From Boac, travel time can reach up to 2 hours. Aside from the Moriones Festival, the province is also known for its fine beaches. And also, Marinduqueños are known for their warm hospitality, we've experienced that a lot of times.
Entrance fee to the beach is Php20 for adults and Php10 for kids, environmental fee is Php10 each.
Poctoy White Beach has a one kilometer stretch of white fine sands. The Mt. Malindig can be viewed from here. It can get really crowded on a holy week just like what we've experienced... We were not able to rent any cottages because the beach is already full of people.

There are sari sari store at the beach selling bits and pieces... softdrinks and snacks.
We had a hard time waiting for the jeepney going back to Sta. Cruz...the travel time going to Sta Cruz took us an hour and a half.
We stayed at Tahanan sa Isok during our stay at Marinduque.
Thanks for this. Im planning to go there sa May. Sana may matuluyan kami hehe
